PORSCHEYEARS / ABOUT THE ARCHIVE
One car. A wider reference.
A 1973 Porsche 911 S, its continuing service history, and the period documents that help explain it.
The car behind the archive.
PorscheYears began with a Metallic Green 1973 Porsche 911 S delivered new to Switzerland. The present owner maintains this public record of the car, its details and its preparation for regular driving at At Speed Motors. Photographs and workshop films follow the mechanical work; factory literature supplies the wider context.
The collection now reaches beyond this car, with a source-linked reference to early Porsche 911 paint colors, period road tests and technical specifications. The car’s own history and the factory references have separate pages, connected wherever a component or detail brings them together.

The workshop record.
Films and photographs document the work at At Speed Motors, with thanks to Bob Miller, Rich and the workshop team. The service history brings the jobs together by component, with recorded status, related images, film passages and parts references. The project preserves the character of a highly original survivor while renewing components that need attention.

Factory figures, period sources.
The technical reference links figures to Porsche’s period specifications booklet. Oil-change quantities and total-system capacities have their own labels; model and transmission distinctions accompany the figures where they matter. Contemporary road tests are presented as accounts of these cars when new.

A paint archive built around the documents.
The early 911 color reference connects names and codes to dated factory charts, equipment folders and other identified publications. It retains the distinctions between paint codes, ordering references, body styles and source years. Original-language names and source notes accompany the searchable records.

Using the collection.
Use the workshop record to follow this car’s work and the linked factory documents to investigate a specification. Photographs show the car or component at the recorded stage of its life. Paint appearance varies with lighting, photography and the screen used to view it; physical samples and the car’s documentation are the basis for choosing a refinish.
PorscheYears is an independent owner’s archive. Source links and acknowledgments identify the publications, workshop material and historical references used throughout the collection.
