1973 Porsche 911 SA factory-correct muffler
Bob explains why the poorly fitting muffler was replaced, with the new factory-correct unit fitted to the car.

0:00Good morning, everybody.
0:02Rich and I did not like at all the fit, finish, position, everything about the muffler that was on this car from Europe.
0:16Here it is.
0:18It, it looks very similar to a stock muffler, but the fit just was off.
0:28So, so we threw it out, or are going to throw it out, and put in a brand-new factory-correct, and in the correct color, muffler.

Removed rear muffler and exhaust outlet
The removed silencer rests on the workshop floor. Its shape resembles the stock unit, but its fit and position prompted the replacement.

Factory-correct rear muffler installed
The new factory-correct rear muffler is installed beneath the engine. With the rear bodywork still apart, its gray finish and mounting position are clearly visible.
